Who ever thought we would see the day when a comedic great such as Bill Cosby be charged with allegations of sexual assault? Behind those allegations comes swift punishment.
Networks have pulled Cosby's shows.
Comedy tours have been cancelled.
And every day a new woman comes forward saying that she too has been a victim.
In a recent story published in The Washington Post, a number of colleges whom Cosby has supported generously financially, has cut ties with the comic as the number of women coming forward with allegations reaches 20.
How sad.
Many of us saw Bill Cosby as a family man, one who instilled morals and values into his viewers as well as his cast members. Lisa Bonet was reportedly fired from the Cosby Show after clashing with Cosby after he let her return to the show.
There is still some speculation as to whether or not the allegations are all true, but the consequences are evident.
What do you think?
Is the public reacting too swiftly behind these allegations, or should they hold off until the evidence starts to come in?

Sad Day In America
This week was very eventful and also one that was very sad. I don't think that there is one person who didn't have an opinion over the Michael Brown verdict.
It does not matter what side you stood on, you still felt something.
People were moved to action, whether for the good or for the bad.
There were protests and riots, and so many things went on that it just brought a grey cloud over the country. A blanket of sadness.

Why Don't They Show The Good In Flint, Michigan
It hurts me to my heart to know that a city I love so dearly keeps getting recognized for its crime, rather than for its accomplishments.
In an article by the business insider, Flint outpaced Detroit as being one of the most dangerous cities to live in.
It is sad because though Flint may be a city riddled with violent crimes, we never hear about the good that still exists in the city. There are still good things happening here, we just don't hear much about them.
There are numerous talented individuals in the city, yet we never hardly hear about them.
We have NY Times bestselling authors who hail from this city.
We have great restaurants, such as Rolls 'R' Ready in downtown Flint where you are greeted with a friendly face and served some of the best desserts in town.
We have programs aimed at helping those who may be enduring a difficult time in their lives, such as Team 810, Empower, and Building Strong Women.
We have people in our community who are making a difference.
Yet you hardly ever see those faces plastered across newspaper or making headline news.
Why is that?
Something needs to change.
We need to focus on the good things that happen here in our city, not just the bad.
In fact, maybe if we heard more good news, our city of Flint, Michigan, may just make a turn for the positive, instead of for the worst.

Team 810/Empower Day
This is a photo of myself and others doing something that I really enjoy doing: giving back to the community! On this day, a team of volunteers came together to feed the homeless in our community. I am always looking for ways to give back to those that are less fortunate than myself. This photo encompasses many of the things that I stand for. The interlocking of the arms represents the unity that I desire to see in my community. The children represent our future. And the volunteers represent those who are willing to step up to the plate and help as well.

Hello everyone I am sharing this CMU Global Campus Page because I am presently enrolled in JRN 105. I am in the process of complete my BS In Public Administration with a concentration in Community Development. While completing this degree I have also chosen to get a certificate in social media. There are so many of us who have decided to return to school after years of being. I promised my daughter I wouldn't give up until I got it, this time. What's your reason for going back to school ?
